Training Opportunities
Real Colors® Training, February 12-14
The following is a message from Dan Clark, Montana Horizons Statewide Program Director, on a training opportunity for Real Colors. Real Colors is a personality instrument similar to the one Bruce Smith used in the Leadership Plenty classes offered this spring and summer in Terry.
Good Day,
I have a great training opportunity for all Horizons communities. Horizons and MSU Extension will be offering Real Colors® Facilitator Certification Training for at least one person in each community.
What is Real Colors®?
The Real Colors® Personality Instrument is a simple, easy to administer system for identifying four personality temperaments (Blue, Gold, Green or Orange). It provides users with an effective tool for understanding human behavior, for uncovering motivators specific to each temperament and for improving communication skills. Most importantly, Real Colors® is easy to incorporate into all areas of daily life. It is the key to achieving higher levels of success, personally and professionally.
What are the benefits to our community?
At least one person in your community will be trained to enhance and sustain community’s leadership development.
Who should participate?
It will be important the community select a person that has the capacity and willingness to provide workshops and trainings to your community members. As your community considers who should be invited to participate in the training, please consider the following community resource people: LeadershipPlenty Instructor, School Administrator, Social Science Teacher, AG/FCS Teacher, School Councilor, 4-H Youth Leader, Hospital Administrator, Business HR Person, Clergy/Minister, Social Service Provider, Law Enforcement Officer, Chamber Of Commerce/Economic Development Person, etc.
What are the expectations of those trained?
For those completing the training, they will be certified Real Colors® Instructors. Trained instructors should be willing to offer Real Colors® training as part of each community’s sustained leadership development strategy. Instructors are encouraged to partner with instructors from other communities. Instructors should deliver at least one Real Colors® workshop by June 1, 2008.
When is the Training?
The Real Colors® training will be held in Bozeman, likely at the Comfort Inn (to be confirmed later) on February 12-14.
What is the cost?
Horizons will pay the certification fee, travel, meals and hotel for one person per Horizons community a $1,000 value. If a community wants to send an additional participant, the community will have to use their Barrier Elimination or Community Coaching and Action funds and space is limited, first-come-first serve.
Registration
Please send me the name, phone number and email address of the person that has been selected to participate as-soon-as-possible or no later than November 21st.
